POTION TO POUR

Grounded in themes of Afro-futurism, solidarity, identity, and the reconception of time, Potion to Pour pays homage to Africa’s rich teachings and biography, which has a complex history of interconnectedness. Inspired by our upbringing in Gaborone, Botswana, where multiple African and global cultures converge, we are often met with a tension generated by the overlap of these cultures. Too often they have a tendency to fight for dominance. Instead, of rejecting this overlap we propose symbiosis, a“cultural Frankenstein” which seeks to foster unity and collective empowerment. We aim to spark thought-provoking dialogue through carefully curated artwork and fashion expressions that underscore the beauty of hybrid identities and cross-continental collaborations.
